Registrations will be entirely on-line and are scheduled to begin in October 2001.
The deadline for Early Registration is May 31, 2002.
The Conference Secretariat will handle the registrations to the congresses.
We strongly recommend early registration!

Regular member
You may register for the ESEM as a "Regular member" only if you are already a member of the ES for the year 2002. If you wish to renew your 2002 membership on the Congress web site immediately, please do so registering under the classification "Joining or Renewing member".
Joining or renewing member
If you register for the ESEM as a "Joining or Renewing member" you will be automatically registered with the ES for the year 2002Student member
You may register for the ES as a "Student member" only if you are already a member of the ES for the year 2002. If you wish to renew your membership for the year 2002 on the congress web site please do so registering under the classification "Student Joining or Renewing member".
To be eligible for the reduced rate, students are requested to send a copy of their student ID or any other certificate to the Congress Secretariat.Student joining or renewing member
If you register for the ESEM as a "Student joining or renewing member" you will automatically be registered with the ES for the year 2002.

Registration for both Congresses
Reduced fees will be applied if you register for both Congresses. The reduction will be applied in the following cases:
- simultaneous registration for both Congresses.
- non simultaneous registration for both Congresses.
- registration for each Congress according to different fee categories (This is the case if, for instance, you are a Regular member for the ESEM and a Non member for the EEA.).

Cancellation policy
If you register as a "Regular member", you need to be a member of the ES or the EEA for the year 2002. For the EEA, this is possible if you fall into one of the following categories:
1. Your EEA membership is valid for a period of 3 years which includes the year 2002;
2. Your EEA membership for the year 2002 has been renewed directly with the EEA (This will be possible from the 1st of January 2002.). If you prefer to renew your 2002 membership on the congress web site immediately, please do so registering under the classification "Joining or Renewing member".
Joining or Renewing member
If you register as a "Joining or renewing member", you will be automatically registered with the ES or the EEA for the year 2002.
Joining or Renewing member + Economic Policy
If you register as a "Joining or Renewing member + Economic Policy", you will be automatically registered with the EEA for the year 2002 and will receive all volumes of the "Economic Policy" journal published during 2002.
Student member
If you register as a "Student member", you need to be a student member of the ES or the EEA for the year 2002. For the EEA, this is only possible if your EEA membership for the year 2002 was renewed directly with the EAA (This will be possible from the 1st of January.). If you prefer to renew your membership for the year 2002 on the congress web site please do so registering under the classification "Student joining or renewing member".

If you register as a "Student Joining or renewing member", you will be automatically registered as a student member with the ES or the EEA for the year 2002.

Student joining or renewing members + Economic Policy
If you register as a "Student joining or renewing member + Economic Policy", you will be automatically registered as a student member with the EEA for the year 2002 and will receive all volumes of the "Economic Policy" journal published during 2002.
To be eligible for the reduced rate, students are requested to send a copy of their student ID or any other certificate to the Congress Secretariat.
Non member
If you are not registered either with the ES or with the EEA you may register as a "Non member". You are also given the option of registering as a "Joining or renewing member", with more reasonable rates.

Fees for registered accompanying persons cover only entrance to the social events.

Refund of registration fees will be made according to the Italian Legislative Decree of 17 March 1995 n. 111, which foresees:
- 90% refund on cancellations received by 31 days before the start of the congress;
- 75% refund on cancellations received between 30 and 21 days before the start of the congress;
- 0% refund on cancellations received within 20 days before the start of the congress.In the case of a refund of registration fees, under no circumstances will the following administrative costs be refunded:
- 14 Euro for ESEM registration only;
- 25 Euro for simultaneous registration for both Congresses;
- 28 Euro for non simultaneous registration for both Congresses.
Please note, all refunds will be made at the end of the Congresses.

Hotel accommodation
The Congress Secretariat is prepared to book hotel rooms in all price ranges for Congress participants. Affordable rooms in ancient Venetian monasteries will be available on a first come, first served basis. Due to the fact that Venice is a city with heavy tourism, we strongly recommend that you forward your accommodation requests to the Conference Secretariat at your earliest convenience.
The deadline for guaranteed accommodation requests is June 15, 2002.
After this date bookings will be confirmed according to space availability.
